Paradise Adventures teaches from a variety of location on the large 35 Klm lake, one of the all time favourites being the base of the Active Arenal Volcano. What makes this location so special is the watersport conditions. Over 35 years ago the Costa Rican Government decided to build a dam, the result being Lake Arenal.

The damn is situated at the base of the Active Arenal Volcano, providing and amazing view of  lake 20 meters bellow and of  course the smoking Arenal Volcano. Besides being an amazing place to stop and take in the beauty, the dam acts as a huge shield, protecting the water below leaving nothing but glassy watersports conditions 365 days a year.

Learn how to wakeboard from experienced wakeboarders and take part in the upcoming clinics.  PACR is working on providing Pro clinics throughout the year, these clinics are designed to let students, vacationers and locals interested in learning from the pros to do so. The clinics will take part from the many unique locations on Lake Arenal.

Details of these clinics will be listed in advance allowing anyone interested the time to book their active sport vacation.

PACR’s watersports equipment is updated regularly, insuring students the best opportunity to learn possible.

The boat is 2005, with wakeboard tower, plenty of power, weight and wake.

The Fly High pro X star Ballast system pushes up a wake that is super hard and the boats extra wide deep V hull creates a progressive approach and landing.

We started the year by adding fly high fat sacs.

Full boat with ballast weighs in at almost 7,000lbs

The added weight combined with the extra wide, deep V hull creates a wake riders are rating as equal to or better than many V-drives, wakeboarding boats.

Paradise Adventures Costa Rica now has the tower, the power, the weight and the wake.

Sean Kelly is a happy owner of a 2007 super Air Nautique 210 and had no complaints riding with PACR,

“The wake is super solid, has a nice approach and there is no reason the pro’s wouldn’t trough it down behind Adrenalina”.

Sean rode with PACR for 4 days in which we managed to capture some sick footage at the Arenal Volcano.

The sun was shining, and the lake conditions were perfect; 79 degree, butter.

Sean put on show that stopped traffic on the dam, cars and tour buses stopped and tourist pilled out to take photos and videos of wakeboarding with PACR.

Some Locals even climbed down the banks of the dam to get an even better look.

Later that afternoon some riders from Spain joined us, who have not ridden in some time, they were stoked to have found PACR by a simple Google search (wakeboarding Costa Rica)

Both riders mentioned the wake was the largest they have ridden and had nothing but smiles on their faces as climbed the wall and stuck it wake to wake with ease.

Boat full of riders, blue skies and the Arenal Volcano joins the fun by rumbling and pumping out some fresh new earth, boulders and lava flowing, and smoke rising; no better time for a photo op.

CWB was tearing it up for 5 days at the 2009, WWA, Nationals championship with a handful of their riders coming out on top. CWB’s hard work at all of 2009 wakeboard and wakeskate competitions has them gaining popularity.

One of the Pro’s from CWB who’s  got the stoke meter pumping is Andrew Adkinson; placing second in the Men’s pro division at this year’s national championship and ranked second overall by King of The Wake. Keep an eye on Andrew, he a top competitor for King of the Wake and is going for the title.

This years Wakeboard World Championship took place August 26-29, hosted at Lake Uiam in Chuncheon Korea. Teams from over 25 countries participated in this years events and hundreds of athletes and fans were there to support wakeboarding worldwide.

For the second year in a row Australia takes the gold leaving USA not too far behind, earning the silver medal overall.

Congratulation to all the riders that entered this years Wakeboard World Championship and props to the efforts put forth by the many wakeboard manufactures in improving their equipment, helping riders evolve the sport to where it is today.

Props to Ricky G, a 33-year-old veteran, riding for Gator since 2003.

ERIK ‘GATOR’ LUTGERT, nominated for the legend award 6 years in row finally gets what he deserved.

Erik’s determination and hard work has helped the sport of wakeboarding… big time.

It was long overdue” were the words from longtime friend Scott Byerly as he announced this year’s winner.
