Watersports

Whether it be strapping into a wakeboard, shredding on a wakeskate, or laying it down on Slalom waterski; PACR has all the watersports equipment to keep any watersport enthusiast occupied.

Paradise Adventures teaches from a variety of location on the large 33 mile lake, one of the all time favorites being the base of the Active Arenal Volcano. What makes this location so special is the watersport conditions. Over 35 years ago the Costa Rican Government decided to build a dam, the result being Lake Arenal.

The damn is situated at the base of the Active Arenal Volcano, providing and amazing view of  lake 20 meters bellow and of  course the smoking Arenal Volcano. Besides being an amazing place to stop and take in the beauty, the dam acts as a huge shield, protecting the water below leaving nothing but glassy watersports conditions 365 days a year.

Fishing

After a solid wakeboarding or waterskiing session, grab a fishing pole to catch a Guapote (Rainbow Bass)

PACR is proud to offer fishing tours on Lake Arenal from a 19 foot Center Console Wellcraft.

The center console Wellcraft has plenty of room and all the fishing equipment and accessories a fisherman needs to comfortably and successfully catch fish.

Boat Tours

After Watersports and fishing has fulfilled its experience, you can kick back and relax to a leisure boat tour around the 33 mile fresh water Lake Arenal. We offer music, snacks and drinks upon request, let us know ahead of time and will pick up some local Costa Rican food and your favorite drinks; on ice.

Lake Arenal allows visitors to get up close and personal with the Arenal Volcano. By boat we are able to get within meters of the volcano. Turning off the engine, dropping anchor and diving in is a rush, who knew you can get so close to such a marvel.

Volcano Tours/by boat

On a clear day one can see lava flow, boulders the size of VW campers being tossed from the top, hear it rumble and pump smoke, taste the sulfur and just take it all in. Being up so close to such a power has a humbling affect, it leaves vacationers in awe every time.

I have personally visited the volcano on countless occasions and feel I have a responsibility to share this opportunity with others; there are not many places left in the world that has such an effect.

Bird Watching

There are over 840 different species of birds that can be found in Costa Rica. Central America is known as bird super highway. The shores of Lake Arenal are lined with many different species of birds, bring a camera and binoculars, there has never been a trip on Lake Arenal where vacationers have not seen birds and on many occasions monkeys, horses and iguanas.

If we do not get back to you in less than 24 hours we will give you an additional 5% discount for the inconvenience.
