These terrains are inaccessible on foot. Using an ATV or Side by Side will save you time and let you take in as much Costa Rican biodiversity as possible.

SBS and ATV details
First, you'll have a short practice session to get comfortable with the vehicle.
Then, head to Alto de Monterrey, a famous viewpoint with spectacular views of La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano (on clear days).
Your guide will assess trail conditions and your ability. If possible, you'll visit the higher viewpoint; otherwise, you'll go to a lower, more accessible spot.
Both locations offer an amazing view!
After the trails, you'll reach the Arenal River. Cross the river, stop to rest and rehydrate, and if you wish, take a swim. Then, continue on to discover nearby towns and beautiful scenery.
This adventure blends exciting rides, incredible nature, and local culture—guaranteed to give you great memories of Arenal’s landscapes.

Therefore, we have a strict policy against misuse of SBS/ATV, especially speeding, which can threaten fellow riders' safety and cause significant damage to our equipment.
You will be accompanied by our experienced guides, who know how to navigate challenging terrain, including rivers, mud, and the lush Costa Rican jungle.
They will share their extensive knowledge of the region’s incredible biodiversity, introducing you to various flora and fauna and offering insights into the unique ecosystems that thrive in Costa Rica.

- The minimum age to drive the ATV is 16+, and 18+ for the SBS
- Children aged 6 and above may ride in a double ATV with an adult
- Infant care seats provided for SBS
